The Shadow of Selfishness is characterized by a focus on one's immediate circle, such as family or tribe, while remaining utterly indifferent to those beyond its boundaries. The Dilemma of Accountability manifests as a constant internal tally: who owes what to whom, who has received more care, and who less – care thus becomes an accounting of mutual obligations.

The Gift of Altruism is revealed when care expands beyond one's own clan and becomes a genuine generosity towards a wider circle – neighbors, community, and strangers. This care is no longer transactional and does not wait for reciprocation. At the level of the Siddhi of Selflessness, care becomes fully unconditional – one gives not because they feel obligated or expect something in return, but because the well-being of others has become indistinguishable from their own. The partnership with the 28th key in the Codon Ring of Life and Death shows that true Altruism requires courage – to give even when there is no guarantee that the effort will be appreciated, embodying the Path of Altruism.
